Position:
Full Time Pastor: We are currently looking for a Full-time Pastor for our 2-point parish. We had our vote to leave the ELCA in February 2010 and are looking to hire someone to fill our position. We are looking for a Pastor who can help our churches to grow in attendance, with both the current members and the unchurched. We need someone who will relate well with our youth, who at this time are very lacking. Good communication skills with people of all ages are a necessity, as is organization. We would like someone with some musical ability, but it is not a necessity. We would also like our Pastor to visit our shut-ins and help out with worship at the Nursing Home located in Manawa. We would like to have our pastor be involved in our wonderful communities. We are located in Wisconsin at the center of Waupaca County. We have 2 churches, Zion Lutheran in Manawa and First Lutheran in Ogdensburg. The total baptized members for Zion are 313 and total confirmed members are 252. The average attendance on a Sunday is 54. First Lutheran has total baptized members of 180 and total confirmed members of 145. The average attendance on a Sunday is 36. We have a part-time secretary, treasurer and janitor on our staff. We have a Ladies Group, a Worship Committee and a Youth Group (however small). We currently offer Sunday school to children ages 3 through grade 8. We have confirmation classes for grades 7-8 and we also have a church choir. We currently have 2 church services, First Lutheran is at 8:30 a.m. with Sunday school to follow and Zion Lutheran is at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday school at 9:15 a.m.
