    The Associate Pastor will serve as an executive leader, a creative thinker, and a strategic achiever. The successful candidate will maintain oversight of ministry-specific environments within their realm of responsibility, while being a loyal and trusted ‘learner’ under the leadership of the Senior Pastor. The Associate Pastor will be a consistent communicator and responsible for the further development of the Atonement Lutheran Church ministry strategy by targeting millennial age groups and maximizing outreach efforts, while effectively sharing the Gospel through new and creative methods. This individual will oversee the overall evangelism efforts of the church, assisting in all areas of ministry to promote effectiveness in reaching the lost and assimilating those who desire to follow Christ.

    The candidate will have had experience working as a creative and strategic leader with a history of responsibility providing vision and mobilizing both volunteers and leaders in a church of 500 attendees or greater. The successful Associate Pastor candidate will have had a part in developing, expanding, and evaluating outreach, evangelistic, and discipleship programs in a church setting, in particular. They must be fluent in church culture and organizational development, with a strong ability to generate momentum and lead growth initiatives. They will be highly social media and marketing savvy, using such avenues along with other culturally relevant methods to draw generations, particularly of college-age young adults, millennials, and young families as well as those from varying backgrounds of life.

    A Master of Divinity or a related postgraduate degree is required for this position. The successful candidate will have a track record of at least 3-5 years of growing a ministry and of working in a ministry setting that is multi-generational.
