    Our Mission Statement:

    St Peter Lutheran Church is a congregation rich in heritage, organized in the 1700's, united in Christ, lives and practices the Lutheran Doctrine, and reaches out to the community through evangelism and stewardship.

    Who we are:

    We are a rural community of believers, that have many gifted members who actively lead and serve our congregation and community.  We gather weekly for Sunday worship service to grow our faith in Christ Jesus.

    We are looking for a preacher/teacher who can help us grow in our faith, lead our youth, and be a positive influence in our rural community.

    Pastor's Job Description

    Responsibilites:

    Help prepare for and lead Sunday and Special worship services

    Help teach confirmation in accordance with the Lutheran doctrine and the Holy Scripture

    Develop meaningful relationships with all age groups of our church members and the surrounding community

    Attend and participate in school and community activities

    Help make home, assisted living, nursing home, and hospital visits to church member/other community members as needed

    Help provide communion to homebound members unable to attend worship servies

    Help maintain church records

    Be proficient in social media and technology

    Expectations:

    Be a good Christian role model

    Live in and become an active member of our rural community

    Have a presence at Sunday school, vacation bible school, and other youth acitvities

    Help start a youth and adult Bible studies

    Help start a youth group

    Pastoral Association:

    Take instruction from and communicates effectively with the church council and through that the congregation, including the use of Social media

    Be able to work independently while carrying out the pastoral services expectations of the church council and congregation
