2020 Annual Gathering Recap - Here's What You Need to Know
A total of 139 people joined together in person at North Heights Lutheran Church on October 5 to celebrate Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ's 20th Annual Gathering and Convention.
This total included 105 voting delegates, 14 guests, 8 members of the board of trustees, 5 members of the LCMC staff, 5 members of the ministry board, and 2 speakers.
The event, which was also live streamed online, featured a discussion on the future plans of LCMC, keynote presentations by Gemechis Buba and Matt Randerson, and an interactive panel discussion.
Mike Bradley was formally installed as the association's new service coordinator, and former LCMC Service Coordinator Mark Vander Tuig was thanked for his service to LCMC over the past ten years.
Business + Board Members
Due to mandatory attendance limits placed on in person events in the state of Minnesota, the trustees asked the voting delegates to extend the terms for the trustees from Area 2 and Area 4 one more year until 2021. This was affirmed by vote. [View Board of Trustees]
Eddy Perez and John Waak were appointed to the ministry board of LCMC, while Nathan Hanson and Steve Turnbull were thanked for their service. [View Ministry Board]
During the business session, delegates voted to extend the association's 2020 budget into next year.
