St. Peter’s Lutheran to Host Missional Conference

“Follow Me!: Living in the Mission of Christ” is a three-day missional event (Thursday, September 26 – Saturday, September 28) that will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and School (6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY).  Sponsored by the Northeast District of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), this event will include church planting training as well as a conference with seminars and resources for Christian congregations looking to become more mission-minded and focused on discipleship.  The Conference Speaker will be Pastor Dan Clites, LCMC Coordinator for New Ministry Development.
Pastor Clites will lead two seminars on church planting – two consecutive nights running from 6:30 – 9 PM.  On Thursday, September 26, “Discovery” training is intended for those people interested in learning about, or seeking preliminary training for, church planting.  On Friday, September 27, “Developing” training is intended for those people seeking to understand the nuts-and-bolts of church planting.
On Saturday, September 28, the missional conference will be held from 9 AM – 3 PM.  Seminars for the day include topics such as discipleship, starting new congregations, kingdom-minded churches, and community transformation.  Lunch will be provided.
This event is free and open to Christian pastors, church leadership team members, ministry leaders, and other congregational members.
