Get Ready - LCMC 26th Annual Gathering & Convention
Our 26th Annual Gathering & Convention will be here before you know it! As we step into the month of September, the LCMC staff is hard at work preparing for this year's event. Here are a few things to keep in mind in the weeks leading up to the gathering.
Don't Forget to Register
If you're planning on joining us in person October 4-7, 2026 at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, IA, keep in mind that advance registration is required. If you haven't already signed up, there is still time to get your registration in––but hurry––registration closes September 10 and there will be no late registration at the door.
If you're interested in purchasing a ticket for the global missions fellowship dinner or signing up for breakout sessions, you can do so by checking off the appopriate boxes on your registration form.
If you've already registered for the event, but would like to add on a ticket for the Global Missions Fellowship Dinner, please contact Cathy Nichol at cathy@lcmc.net or (734) 788-7476.
For hotel reservations and transportation information, click here. Rooms in our hotel blocks are filling up quickly, so if you haven't already made your lodging arrangements and would like to book at one of the hotels listed on our website, we recommend doing so as soon as possible.

Things to Do in Des Moines
For those making the trip to Des Moines, there are plenty of things to do and see outside of the gathering. Whether you're looking to extend your trip––or simply a way to unwind in the evening––we've offered a few suggestions in our Summer/Fall 2026 issue of By the Word.

If you're not able to attend in person this year, you can still tune in online. A link to the livestream will be available on the Annual Gathering page of our website and in the LCMC mobile app when the event begins.
