Intentional Interim Ministry Training Returns for 2020

A change of pastors is a significant and sometimes traumatic event in the life of the church and congregation.

The need has never been greater for trained intentional interim ministers who are called and equipped to assist congregations during times of change and transition.

Intentional interim ministry is not just filling a void during a pastoral vacancy, but focusing on developmental tasks of the congregation and process tasks for the intentional interim pastor.  It is vital for intentional interim ministers to discover an increased awareness of self as part of a system in order to equip a congregation to define their present reality and to plan for their future.

A basic course on intentional interim ministry will be offered July 6-9, 2020 at Grand View University in Des Moines, IA.  It is for anyone who is new to interim ministry and has not yet received intentional interim ministry training through LCMC.

To register for the basic course, contact Cathy Nichol, LCMC Administrative Coordinator at cathy@lcmc.net or call (734) 788-7476.

The cost for the training course is $275.  Housing is available through Grand View University.

We ask that those enrolled bring a serious commitment to learning and conscientious determination to healthy practice of intentional interim ministry.

The basic course is not intended to be exhaustive, but the first introductory step in a continuous learning process.

LCMC is committed to providing continuing education for those who have taken the basic course.  Future classes are being planned and will be announced at a later date.
