Life can be extremely overwhelming thanks to the seemingly endless list of things we’re expected to pursue. Between the pressure to do well in academics and extracurriculars, to attempting to have a social life, to politics, influencers, and simply trying to figure out who we even are as people, there are so many different things competing for our attention every day. It almost feels like the more effort we put in to keeping up with with it all, the more burned out we become.
If you’ve ever struggled with feeling like your heart is being pulled in a million different directions, you’re not alone. How do we find rest and peace in today's fast-paced world, where everything seems to be competing for our attention and demanding constant effort? Join us for our next national youth gathering and find out!
Our youth event is designed to empower youth ministry in the local church and to encourage students to consider the vocation of ministry in the future.
Participants will get inspired and gain practical advice through keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and worship, take part in a service project, and connect with other LCMC-ers from across the country.
The event takes place July 9-12, 2024 at Grand View University in Des Moines, IA and is open to students completing grades 7-12, however youth leaders and adult chaperones are also required to attend.
Registration is online only and closes April 1, 2024, or when our capacity of 185 participants has been reached, whichever occurs first.
