Zoom Workshop - Tips for Healthy Relationships and Conversations

When a new pastor comes to a congregation, there is a honeymoon period that can last as long as two years, or as little as two weeks!  Those first months of a new call are critical to both the pastor and congregation building trust and healthy habits.

New Call Workshop: Tips for Healthy Relationships and Conversations is being offered via Zoom on November 7, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Central Time.

The new call workshop will explore personal and organizational differences that, if left unaddressed, have the potential for conflict.  Examples include the role of leadership, personality styles, visions for worship and ministry, and rates of change. In the end, participants will understand themselves better and have ways to see and honor one another.

Understanding, however, is just one component. Participants in the workshop will also learn practical tools for clarifying and discussing tension points, as well as a tool called Blueprinting, which creates mutual understanding and collaborative problem solving. Whether deciding what time to hold worship services, what color the carpet will be, or whether it is the right time to open a preschool, Blueprinting helps leaders gain insight and have fruitful conversations on the issues.

This Zoom-format workshop is designed to provide tools and insights for intentional conversations that build healthy and trusting relationships between a pastor and lay leaders.

We encourage pastors to participate with 1-2 lay leaders, but pastors shouldn’t miss out!
