Post an Open Position
Your position will be submitted for approval by a site admin as soon as you complete the steps below. Please do not begin creating a posting until you are ready for our staff to review it.
Do you belong to an LCMC congregation and have a leadership position in your congregation, clergy or lay, that you need to have filled? Does your congregation have an internship opportunity available for a seminarian? List it here on the LCMC site!
Here's how:
- If you don't already have one, sign up for a myLCMC account by clicking here. An active myLCMC account is required to create open positions for our church staffing page. (Be sure to remember your myLCMC username and password, as you will need access to your account to submit, edit, or remove staffing positions in the future.)
- Login to your myAccount page, then click on the "My Staff Openings" tab just below your name.
- Click on the red "Create New Staff Opening" button.
- Begin by typing the name of your congregation into the "Congregation Search" field at the top of the page. (Including the name of the city in which your congregation is located may help narrow down the search results.) Select your congregation from the dropdown list of options. The form will automatically display your congregation's address.
- Tip: If you are unable to find your LCMC congregation by searching, you may enter your congregation's name and address manually.

- Fill out the remaining fields in the form. All fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required. To help ensure that our staff is able to review all postings in a timely manner, please do not type in "ALL CAPS". Typing sentences in all capital letters is considered poor ettiquitte and will result in your information needing to be re-typed.
- Tip: The description field is used to help potential candidates understand the details of the open ministry position. Please be sure you have typed or copy/pasted a description for the open position here before submitting. All open positions must include a job description to be approved by our staff. (Check out Attachment F in our Call Packet for tips on writing an effective job description to include in your posting.)
- Tip: The "Display Start and End Date" fields can be used to control when you would like an open position to start and stop appearing on our website. If no end date is selected, your posting will be visible for one year after the date it has been approved.

- Once you have completely filled out the entire "Create/Edit Staff Opening" form, click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to submit the position for review by our staff. Your staff position will not be listed on our website until it has been approved by a site administrator. This may take up to two (2) business days.
Please note that criminal, employment, and reference checks are the responsibility of the congregation as the employer and LCMC does not conduct such investigations.
Remove an Open Position
You may delete your staff position at any time by logging in to your myLCMC account. Here's how:
- From your myAccount page, click on the "My Staff Openings" tab.
- Find the staff position you would like to remove, then click "Delete".
If you are unable to delete a position using your myLCMC account, you may click here to request its removal.
Please DO NOT change the wording of the job description to indicate that a position has been filled instead of deleting the posting or requesting its removal. This can be both frustrating and confusing to candidates who are seeking a call.
If you haven't already done so, check to be sure that your congregation's profile and clergy profile are up to date. If corrections are needed, you may submit them by filling out the forms here.
