Mission Partners [Central/South America Topic] http://lcmc.net/mission-partners/feed?topic=52 LCMC encourages congregations to partner with mission agencies as part of their benevolence programs. We believe that partnering with agencies, as opposed to national oversight of benevolence funding, creates a positive experience for both the congregation and the mission partner. Throughout the years, LCMC has been introduced to many organizations throughout the world that are working together to fulfill the great commission and bring the gospel to all people. This list is not meant to be exhaustive, but to be an assistance to congregations seeking new partnership. Additional partners will be added as we develop new relationships. en-us Go Missions International http://www.solapublishing.com/mission-partners/go-missions-international/a1029.html Tue, 07 Nov 23 00:00:00 +0000 Mission and Vision

Go Missions International is a non-profit organization with its arms extended across Latin America. We are motivated by the example of Jesus and the Great Commission to GO and make disciples.  Our impulse is to Love and Serve at all times and to teach others to do the same. As Go Missions International we are also a covering of grace and support for several independent Love and Serve ministries.

Values

  • Our Biblical commission is to GO share the Gospel, first in our city, then to the ends of the earth.
  • Our choice is to LOVE and SERVE at all times.
  • Our call is to be a people of every culture and background joined together in a united sense of divine mission.
  • Our commitment is to integrity, establishing lives and ministries on the foundations of Christian character and personal holiness.

We Believe…

  • In the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, by whom all things, in heaven and earth are created. We commit ourselves to glorify Him through thought, word and action.
  • In the incarnation of Jesus Christ, that salvation and atonement of sins come only through Him.
  • In the Bible, the Holy and Infallible Word of God, the foundation for building lives with Godly purpose and pattern.

Founders Nicolas and Shannon Kraft

Grounded in the Word of God at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle, WA in the 1990’s, Nicolas and Shannon Kraft have been on the GO since 1998.  They first worked in Chiclayo, Peru as church planters and youth ministers. In 2003 they went to Caranavi, Bolivia where they served four years at Radio Television Caranavi as producers of a Children’s Television program called ABC KIDS. The Krafts with their four children have been all over the USA and Bolivia, up the coast of Peru and down to the middle of Chile as Go Missions International. They have led seminars for marriages and families, taught children, discipled youth and encouraged Latin Americans to step out into missions.  Currently they are based in Chiclayo, Peru at the Potter’s House center for spiritual formation.

Go Missions Peru

Casa del Alfarero (The Potter’s House) is home to several seed sowing and discipleship opportunities. We invite people through a variety of experiences to come into contact with Jesus and His church. We provide retreat events such as Immerse English Camp, Vive Retreat, a 5 day wholistic healing experience for woman and our 2 month discipleship and missions training school called CORE. Plenty of other activities take place throughout the year that provide options for the church to invite those who might not be comfortable going to church but are willing to try Jesus through this third party connection.

We have built four bungalows for marriage ministry, providing a place where a couple can come and get away and receive counseling or simply take time to be together. The rooms are spacious, each with a private bathroom.

In Latin America it’s not uncommon to live in multigenerational homes and often a couple has little or no privacy. For economic reasons they may even have children in their same room and often in their bed. The masculine dominance often keeps women from knowing the family income and unable to share in the decisions over finance. Men have been influenced all of their lives to look at women as an object or a tool. There are often multiple infidelities and violence. As the world changes and as marriages struggle, children also struggle. We desire to provide Biblical teaching and a safe place for couples to receive direction and healing, thereby strengthening the family and discipling them to live according to God’s design.

Go Missions Bolivia

Go Missions began in Bolivia with a group of fired up young people taking a trip up the river Guanay to evangelize. That group of people formed and began praying and now there is a large group of people who have been part of or been touched by the motto LOVE AND SERVE. Over the last 13 years, they continue to meet to pray for missions every Friday and they are moving in missions in the Villages behind the Devils tooth in La Paz, Bolivia.   They have been reaching out to twelve communities consistently first with Children's programs and then in the schools and now through adult Bible Studies.  They are also intentional to Love and Serve in many other organic ways.

Their newest project is called Emunah House, located in el Alto, Bolivia.  Many children are at risk - their parents work hard and drink hard.  As a result, many children are left to raise themselves.   Emunah House, inaugurated in April 2023, provides a space for kids to come and receive tutoring, snacks, workshops, and most of all… Jesus.

Go Missions Wambis

Go Missions has been visiting an ethnic community called the Wambis who live along the River Santiago.  We have made several trips there and have had several of their young people come as students to The Potter’s House.  We are hoping to make more frequent visits and we dream of having a missionary couple who would plant themselves in Santa Maria de Nieva, the door to the River Santiago. It’s a place of much need both physically and spiritually, and as the world is in transition the Wambis are as well.  Their kids desire higher education and many of them struggle to provide this. Also, as their children enter the city to study, they are vulnerable and often end up getting lost and not completing their purpose.  We are asking God continually for the Wambis tribe and for direction as to how best to help them.

Camp Penuel Costa Rica http://www.solapublishing.com/mission-partners/camp-penuel-costa-rica/a875.html Tue, 10 Dec 19 00:00:00 +0000 The vision of Camp Penuel is to love others with God's love.  The main purpose is bringing children and youth from impoverished areas of Costa Rica to a camp-like setting, allowing them to just be kids, while learning about the love of Jesus.

Camp Penuel Costa Rica also reaches out into the community by teaching English in local schools, making ukuleles in juvenile detention centers, doing work projects in at-risk neighborhoods, and training young adults to be Christian leaders, all bringing others to know Jesus as their personal Savior.

We welcome individuals, families, and teams to participate in our vision by praying for the Camp, providing financial gifts, and/or coming to the Camp to bless the people of Costa Rica.

Child Outreach International http://www.solapublishing.com/mission-partners/child-outreach-international/a293.html Sun, 17 Jun 12 00:00:00 +0000 Child Outreach International is a non-profit organization made up of caring Christians who have chosen to come together to make a difference in the world we live in.  We are non-denominational and work with who and where the Holy Spirit leads us to share Christ grace and promise.  Our focus in the impoverished and often remote areas that we serve in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and the Texas border areas is to not only share our blessings, but to empower churches, schools and whole communities.  We do this by not only sharing our faith, but by helping them obtain the materials and opportunities they need to improve their lives and future, leaving Christ’s footprint wherever we serve.  Some of our current and past efforts include developing and equipping children’s ministries and several women’s sewing co-ops,  children’s feeding programs, providing needed medical supplies to clinics, nursing programs, and hospitals, digging deep wells and installing dependable water and septic systems where these services did not exist and contributed to ongoing health issues, building and repairing homes, schools, churches and the first library that serves an extended rural area of Nicaragua where books are considered a luxury. We have provided school and teaching supplies to impoverished rural schools and scholarships to a Lutheran school in Guatemala.  We also welcome partnerships with other organizations on projects we deem worthwhile and productive.

The opportunities that God has given us to serve have been endless!  Our programs are supported solely by donations from individuals, churches, and other organizations. We are governed by a dedicated Christian board of directors from various states that possess diverse skills and expertise. Affordable, mission outreach experiences for groups are also available upon request.  We also are happy to provide a speaker on the topic of a “mission mindset” or our organization.  Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”  1 John 3:18
