St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, LCMC
Salisbury, NC 28146
Congregation of sheep seeking a good shepherd. We lie waiting in the pasture of contentment, needing to be led to greener pastures. We yearn to hear and share the good news and the promise of the Bible in both Old and New Testament. We desire to be taught the relevance of the Bible in the world we live in. We need to hear just how sinful we are and be reminded that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. If you feel the Holy Spirit’s call to shepherd our sheep and bring in the lost . . .
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church- Salisbury, an established (1830) Lutheran Church in North Carolina has an immediate opening for a Senior Pastor.
St. Paul’s is a congregation of 542 baptized members with an average Sunday worship attendance of 197. St. Paul's is in the midst of an Intentional Interim process. As a result of that process and prayerful reflection, the Council and congregation have chosen to reconfigure our staffing model to a Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor. A Secretary and an Organist/Music Director are on staff. There is a strong sense of church family, which we want to share with the inactive and the un-churched of our growing community. Our church is debt free with a strong benevolence budget. For additional information on our congregation, please see our website at www.splcweb.org.
St. Paul’s is a congregation with a rich history of worship. There is one primary service each Sunday, along with an abbreviated weeknight service. It is accompanied by organ, piano, and electronic keyboard. The liturgy varies between LBW settings and Reclaim settings. Hymnody is primarily drawn from the two hymnals, incorporating a broader range of sources while also affirming a range of musical styles and tempos.
