Due to an untimely passing of our pastor, Mark Fry, our congregation is seeking to call a new pastor. We have met as a congregation since 2010. We are located at 3200 Broadwater Ave., Billings, Montana. Sunday morning is a tradtional service with communion. We have a large fellowship hall with a full kitchen. We use this area for adult Bible studies prior to services, and fellowship lunches after services each Sunday.
Our congregation consists of 60 congregants with 75% active members. The majority are of retirement age with an increasing number of younger families. We would like to resume a children's Sunday School program. We have an active women's Bible study group, prayer group, and Lenten services. Our tithing contributes regularly to local charities such as community schools, Montana Rescue Mission, Veteran's home, Family Services, Habitat for Humanity as well as our LCMC contribution.
We are looking for a Pastor that desires to teach and preach the Bible. We desire someone who will be active in evangelism. A dedication to visitation and ministry in crisis are valuable qualities. We have a strong faithful congregation in need of leadership. Through faith and prayer we will navigate this process and welcome your interest.
Billings is located in south-central Montana, nestled between the Yellowstone River and nine-mile long cliff face known as the Rimrocks. Located on the high plains, it offers more abundant sunshine and less snow than in the mountains to the west. Billings is the largest city in Montana and the Northern Rocky Mountain Region with a population of approximatiely 110,000. We have good air service, great health care with two hospitals, university and private colleges, city zoo complete with nature trails and a semi-pro baseball team. Billings is 60 miles from mountains that offer skiing, hiking, hunting, rafting, and fishing, an outdoor lover's paradise. Billings also offers easy access to Yellowstone National Park and the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.
