    Position Purpose

    To develop and oversee ministry, providing vision and planning in the areas of Youth, Young Adults, Family “Fun and Fellowship”, Outreach, and Missions – building a community of fully committed followers of Jesus Christ, growing, and maturing together, and reaching out to the community to introduce them to the good news of Jesus Christ. This position works closely with and be mentored by the Senior Pastor and provides backup to the Senior Pastor.

    The position performs most of the duties within the broad framework of procedure, policy, and knowledge of the congregation’s needs and plans.


    • Be a Christian with a living and vital faith

    • Knowledgeable in ministry philosophy and church operations

    • Develop and oversee ministry to the youth, young adults, and families
    • Provide pastoral care including visitation and counseling of young families
    • Preach when requested
    • Teach as requested
    • Attend weekly staff meeting and monthly Council meetings
    • Develop and equip those gifted and willing to assist in ministries
    • Develop and oversee ministry to youth, young adults, and families
    • Organize and facilitate weekly Youth worship services and Bible studies
    • Develop and oversee the community youth and basketball league
    • Implement and oversee mission trip opportunities and camp options
    • Meet with area youth, young adult, and family ministry leaders
    • Oversee Outreach ministry which includes Parades and Community Affairs, Centershot, Day of Serving/Community Outreach, coordinating Fun and Fellowship opportunities for the LCM church family
    • Oversee Timber Bay partnership and work with them to build bridges within the community
    • As a leader work with: 
      •   Youth and Young Adults
      •   Outreach
    • Plan and implement fundraisers

    Compensation Package

    This is a full-time, 40 hour per week plus position with an annual salary of $45,000, and is subject to a successful 90-day probationary period. Holidays are paid according to the LCM policy. Sick time and vacation time are accrued according to LCM policy. Vacation time of three weeks per year is provided. A one month notice prior to leaving the position is preferred.
