Description: Purpose: To partner with LCC staff and congregation in multiplying practical faith. To bring specific ministry gifts to the LCC pastoral team and staff in the areas of Discipleship and Preaching/Teaching.
Qualifications
- Disciple of Jesus Christ
- Demonstrates the leadership characteristics set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:6-9
- Embraces LCC’s Mission & Core Values
- Rostered with LCMC prior to employment
- Comfortable thriving and growing in a Pastoral Team model
- Strong ministry gifts and passion for Discipleship of all ages, and Preaching/Teaching
- Committed to and experience with the Biblical design for ministry leaders to equip God’s people to do His work (Ephesians 4:11-13)
- Leadership gifts of casting vision and team building
- Comfortable with and capable of using multi-media in preaching/teaching
Responsibilities
- Provide vision, coaching, and training for the Kids Ministry Team, and be a visible presence during Kids Ministry gatherings
- Provide coaching for the Youth Coordinator and be a visible presence during Youth Ministry gatherings
- Provide vision, coaching, training, and presence for the Adult Ministry Team and coach Next Steps Coordinator
- Oversee pre-marriage ministry process
- Preach/Preside at worship according to assigned schedule
- Preside at weddings and funerals as requested
Line of Accountability
- The supervisor for this position is the Senior Pastor
- This position supervises the Youth Coordinator and Next Steps Coordinator
- This position coaches the Kids and Adult Ministry Teams
Position Hours and Schedule
- This position is full-time with benefits and requires a flexible schedule including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
