    Responsibilities:  Article 10.02 of our constitution states as follows:

    The pastor of this Congregation shall:

    a. Preach the Word in truth and purity;

    b. Administer the Sacraments according to the Word;

    c. Conduct public worship;

    d. Provide pastoral care for and pray for all members;

    e. Offer instruction in the Christian faith; 

    f. Confirm;

    g. Marry;

    h. Bury the dead;

    i. Oversee schools and organizations of this Congregation;

    j. Install regularly elected members of the Church Council;

    k. Seek out and encourage qualified persons to prepare for full-time

         Christian ministry;

    l. Strive to extend the Kingdom of God in the community, the nation

        and the world; and

    m. Endeavor to increase the support given by the members of this

         Congregation for sharing the Gospel around the world

    Education:  The pastor must have a Master of Divinity or Theology from an accredited seminary and be LCMC certified and strong computer skills are desired.

    Worship:  Preach, teach and equip the congregation in Bible-based preaching, in accordance with Lutheran theology and lead bible studies.  The pastor shall have a genuine passion for the active Gospel of Jesus the Christ with a desire to engage children in worship and have a good sense of humor with the ability to lead both traditional and contemporary services.

    Community:  Have the ability and desire to work with pastors in the community and actively seek out and engage with the congregation in community activities.

    Leadership:  Be able to counsel, work effectively with others, ability to show others how to be involved and live more abundant lives as disciples of Christ.  Have strong organizational skills and a vision for Biblically based growth.
