    Description:

We at Immanuel are seeking a pastor to partner with us and help strengthen our Vision and Mission to share the message of Christ. We envision walking hand-in-hand as we carry out Christ’s command in the Great Commission “to go and make disciples of all nations.”

We are praying for a pastor who is:

Willing to love God, our church family, and our community

Regularly praying for the congregation, the community of Alice, and our mission and ministry

    Preaches biblical and inspiring messages

Eager to help us to expand our mission and reach out further in the community

Able to work together with members and elected leaders of the congregation

Committed and passionate about our shared ministry

Able to laugh with us and learn with us as we continue to grow and change as a congregation

    Our Church Family:

Immanuel is an LCMC affiliated church that is home to 70 families, with a current average worship attendance of 40 to 50 during our pastoral vacancy. Our purpose as a family of believers is found in the Great Commission and defined in our Vision Statement “to be the most Christ centered influence for the city of Alice and beyond” and we do this through the transforming power further supported in our Mission Statement of Knowing Christ, Living Christ, and Sharing Christ.

    Our Outreach & Evangelism:

Given our mission and vision, we are committed to finding ways to share the love of Jesus in our community. Our congregation has adopted a local elementary school, Shallert elementary in 2019 to serve children and families in need. School staff identify specific children and their needs, members of ILC adopt these students for a year, providing needed supplies and share gifts with them on special occasions. The congregation recognize the school staff by providing meals, celebrating Holy Week, and Teacher Appreciation Week.  We also offer a youth day camp each summer that impacts 40 area youth. This week-long activity with professional counselors is provided to the community.  We partner with Cross Trail Ministry to bring Christ to the youth.   In addition, we provide many volunteers who work at the community food pantry. We have also sponsored lunch and snacks for Habitat for Humanity build crews. Immanuel supports many ministries through our annual benevolence, contributing ten percent of all contributions to outreach ministries, both local and beyond. In addition, our website and Facebook page offer a number of opportunities for people to get to know us as well as help spread our mission.

    Our Worship:

Sunday morning worship at Immanuel begins at 10 am and is blended, using both traditional and contemporary elements. Worship is broadcast live on Facebook as a community outreach and as a point of connection for any unable to attend. Our sanctuary was recently upgraded with new state-of-the-art audio, visual and sound equipment. Worship involves many members of all ages in various roles: worship assistants, ushers, greeters, acolytes, readers, praise team members and our technology team. We are proud of our youth who are an integral part of our weekly worship in all of the above listed roles and have even delivered the message on special occasions.

    Our community:
