    Description(About Us)

Trinity Lutheran Blanco is a warm, inviting, Bible-based church that is generous and supportive of the community.  We have a presence in the Blanco community through our outreach and deep roots.

Trinity Lutheran Church will continue to be based on sound Biblical doctrine, serving as a beacon in our community.  We will strive to prayerfully utilize our gifts to be engaging to new people to our area while nourishing our current members. We believe that the purpose of our church is to make disciples, be in Christian fellowship, serve others, and remain faithful to God’s Word.

We are currently reaching our neighbors through our regular Sunday worship services, Lenten services, other special services, VBS, Christian Men’s Group, Christian Women’s Group, Adult Bible Studies, sponsoring a flag football league, Stephen Ministry, Prayer Chain, Youth Group, and our Women’s Retreat.

Our strengths include having undergone a strategic planning process with improvements already underway to anticipate future growth and that God has blessed us with a sound financial standing with no current debt.

We are seeking a full-time pastor who will lead the members of our congregation as we make disciples in our wonderful, growing, community.   Our preference is to call a pastor who is certified by the LCMC, or a pastor who is theologically compatible with the teachings and practice of the Lutheran faith and is willing to complete the LCMC certification process.

    What we are praying for

We are praying for a pastor who will lead us to be a faithful congregation that is united in the Spirit with every member sharing and reflecting the Gospel naturally and listening to the Lord.

We are praying for a pastor who will help us reestablish a second worship service that will be more contemporary in nature to go along with our traditional worship service.

We are praying for a pastor who will help us reach out to the growing population in our area and increase the number of people who are faithful children of God.

We are praying for a pastor who is willing to be involved in the Blanco Christian Community and work with the other churches and ministers of Blanco.

We are praying for a pastor who has open doors to listen to others and guide them, through the scriptures, to a sound Christian understanding of whatever challenges life may pose.

We are praying for a pastor who is involved in our schools and community activities with youth and fellowship.

    Worship and Disciple Making

Our current Sunday morning worship consists of one service at 9:30 AM followed by adult Bible Classes and children’s Sunday School starting at 10:45 AM.  At the present time, Holy Communion is offered on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.  Trinity Lutheran is made up of about 120 families.  We are currently averaging about 96 in attendance for Sunday morning worship, with approximately 88 of those attending in person.  We Live Stream on Facebook and typically have 5-10 viewers.  We have two different ongoing adult Bible classes with attendance at each usually ranging from 10 to 20 individuals.  We offer three different children’s Sunday School classes:  ages 5 and under, Elementary School, and Middle/High School.  We have a newly revamped webpage (www.trintyofblanco.com) and produce a monthly Newsletter that is emailed to the congregation with hard copy available in our Narthex. We have an active Greeter Program with most of the congregation serving as Greeter sometime during the year.  We have recently instituted an Institutional Stewardship Program that encourages tithing and legacy giving to support the work of Christ this side of heaven. This program is being supplemented by a series of Christian Financial Literacy seminars.

    About our Community

Historically, Blanco is a conservative community with deep German roots. Nestled deep in the heart of the Hill Country, Blanco is a growing city of around two thousand residents in the city limits.  The population is close to four thousand when including residents living in the greater Blanco area.  The Blanco River meanders through the southern part of our scenic town and is the center of many recreational activities, including a State Park.  The major industries of our city include farming, ranching, tourism, education, craft brewing, and spirit distilling.  Blanco Independent School District (BISD) provides public education to a little over one thousand students on three campuses in grades Pre-K through 12th.  BISD is consistently ranked among the top districts in the state in many categories and has a long tradition of excellence. Our community continues to see steady and substantial growth.  Long established families have opened their arms to those moving into our city and the surrounding area.
