Description:
Trinity Lutheran Church, which is a part of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) and North American Lutheran Church (NALC), is currently seeking a Pastor to lead us out of a season of transition to GROWTH. This position leads and equips our congregation to grow in their faith and faithfulness. The Pastor represents our church through a commitment to character, excellence, details and flexibility.
Pastoral Leadership
As outlined in our constitution
Maintain and grow connection with other local congregations
Preaching and Leading Services
Preach and teach the Word of God from the Holy Bible, avoiding political perils of today’s world
Administer the Sacraments
Participate in the Christian Education of all ages; May delegate responsibilities to volunteers in the church
Consult with the Worship Team in preparing appropriate Worship Services
Youth
Support a Youth program by encouraging the development of spiritual growth in our young people
Teaching and promoting biblical stewardship for youth in areas of spiritual gifts and possessions
Supervise youth ministries and events in collaboration with the Youth Director increasing the fellowship opportunities for youth
Pastoral Care
Perform Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals
Provide short-term pastoral counseling
Be available and responsive to crisis situations
Administration
Ensure clear communication between the council, staff and congregation
Oversee all church ministries in an effective and cooperative manner
Oversee recording, maintaining and keeping the church records.
Qualifications
The Pastor should be LCMC or NALC Certified or willing to become Certified in a timely manner
Significant ministry experience preferred but not required.
Character that exhibits the qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9 and Peter 5:2-4
