Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Immanuel Lutheran Church.
We are located in a fast growing area 30 miles east of Austin, TX. Once a small rural, farming community we are now becoming part of urban sprawl. With a population of approximately 16,000, Taylor is diversified racially and socially and is rooted in deep traditions. Immanuel was organized on January 1, 1888 by local German farmers and ranchers, and is one of the oldest congregations in Williamson County. The first house of worship was dedicated in 1894. We have been a member of LCMC since 2010.
Immanuel is a joyful, welcoming, multi-generational church family and appreciates a variety of worship and music styles. There is home-grown musical talent, and exciting community VBS, Sunday School, an ecumenical community Live Nativity production as well as other community involvements. Membership is 120 which includes 21 children. Average attendance is 55.
We are looking for a shepherd who will lead us and walk with us into the future; and will work with us in developing a strong youth program as well as ensure the spiritual enrichment of all ages. As the community grows we want to grow as disciples of Christ.
Our Mission Statement:
“We are called to preach and teach God’s unchanging Word to a changing world.”
